“A couple stories come to mind that have led to my ongoing support for RAC.  RAC has provided me the opportunity to attend local gallery openings where I can see high quality local, Chicago, national, and internationally recognized artists share their work. I have been inspired and moved by many pieces, trying to understand the messages and impacts of the work for me, and the intention and process of the artist.  Through RAC, I have been able to meet the artists, hear curators and artists discuss the work, and in some cases I have been able to purchase pieces which support the artist as well as RAC.  In one case, I was able to purchase a painting from a Riverside artist with subject matter including Riverside trees that has deepened my connection to my community.”
