Riverside Arts Center (RAC) | COVID-19 Protocols - January 2023

At Riverside Arts Center the safety and well-being of our visitors, students, volunteers, and staff is of utmost importance. Safety has guided all our decisions throughout the pandemic. We continue to monitor and adhere to guidance from the CDC, IDPH and CCDPH.   

Please read these details to prepare for your visit:

  • We continue to support full vaccination of all visitors to Riverside Arts Center

  • Currently, eligibility includes all persons 5 years of age and up

Please continue to abide by our Covid safety policies when visiting Riverside Arts Center:

  • Most importantly, if you have any Covid or flu-like symptoms, please stay home! We will be ready to welcome you back when you’re feeling better.

  • While mask-wearing is optional, we continue to encourage their use.

  • N95 or KN95 masks are recommended by health professionals

  • Where possible, maintain a physical distance of at least 3’-6’ from all other guests and staff.

  • If you develop symptoms or test positive within 48 hours after a visit, please let us know right away.

RAC maintains the following requirements to promote safety: 

  • All employees and volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks prior to their work start date. 

  • All areas are disinfected and cleaned frequently. High-touch surfaces are disinfected.  

  • Hand sanitizer is available in all spaces. 

  • We have installed HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) cleaners in our spaces with filters cleaned regularly. 

  • When feasible, we will hold events, classes, and meetings in our Garden. 

GALLERIES 

  • Our galleries are open and visitors are welcome.

  • Hand-sanitizer is available, and masks are available for anyone who needs one.

SCHOOL 

  • Parents are requested to keep home any child experiencing Covid-like symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, sore throat, etc. on the day of class. We will be happy to refund or reschedule your class.

  • Classrooms are sanitized between each class, workshop, or studio session.

  • Students may not share tools. Any community tools will be disinfected between each use with a sanitizing solution, sanitizing wipes, or soap and water.

  • Hand sanitizer can be found in each classroom and around the building.

  • RAC has installed HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) cleaners in classrooms. 

  • Users are requested to clean any surface they contact during their sessions.

  • We will continually monitor CDC, state IDPH and county guidelines and make adjustments to these protocols according to guidance. Riverside Arts Center will advise you of these changes when they occur.
