Artist’s statement:

“Little brushstrokes on a blank slate cause our mind to formulate and collect an explanation. Two dots can be eyes. Our tendency is to see ourselves and others.  Certain poses and layouts have expectations. Some of my figures are drawn in a small room with a small group. I’m using the standard figure drawing tropes and placing them in new interior design environments. How does that change how we see a layout in a magazine spread?  How does that change how we see people in an interior?

Other works depicting figures in multiple layered positions record space through time.”
