Over two mornings we’ll work through various quick drawing exercises that build on intuitive problem solving, as well as slower experiments using negative space. With brief discussions about what works and what doesn’t, the workshop seeks to be a non-competitive yet fast-paced atmosphere. Various methods of mark making will be explored, without using a brush or even color at times. We will be playing with fabric scraps and looking at a textiles’ potential to become part of the mark making.
