About the Riverside Arts Center
Since 1993, the Riverside Arts Center (RAC) has been providing Riverside
, its surrounding suburbs and the city of Chicago with arts classes,
free art exhibitions, and special events. The RAC is located in the
heart of Historic Riverside, IL and includes the Freeark Contemporary
Art Gallery and a variety of studio space including a renowned clay
studio that houses one of the largest kilns in the state.
About Art Education at the RAC
We offer over thirty art classes each term (Winter, Spring, Summer,
and Fall) for children and adults in mediums ranging from clay, to
oil painting, to fused glass jewelry, to printmaking.
The RAC also offers provide tours, field trips, and curricula-based
workshops for public and private schools and professional development
opportunities for teachers.
About the Town of Riverside
The Riverside Arts Center is located in historic Riverside , IL. The
town, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (the founder of landscape
architecture), has a strong community of art makers, art teachers,

We at the Riverside Arts Center offers
a multitude of alternative classes and art-based activities for
a variety of events and organizations. They include:
BIRTHDAY PARTIES AT THE RIVERSIDE ARTS CENTER
For anyone who wants to celebrate in a creative and fun way. You
pick the medium and we do the rest. Catering can be arranged for
an added cost.
DESIGN YOUR OWN CLASS
Bring your group to the Arts Center and exercise your creativity.
You choose the time, day and medium you would like to work in and
we do the rest. Classes and workshops can range from one day to
eight weeks. Contact the Riverside Arts Center for more information.
FIELD TRIPS TO THE RIVERSIDE ARTS CENTER
We can design a special workshop for your school, day care facility,
senior center, arts organization, or business.
These workshops can be tailored to in-school curricula, designed
to include team building activities, or can be arranged just for
fun.
RIVERSIDE ARTS CENTER TO GO
Many of the Riverside Arts Center's teaching artists are available
for off-site activities. Contact us if you you would like to celebrate
your daughter's birthday at school, to incorporate creative learning
into your curricula, or to celebrate art at your office.

Regarding Classes and Registration: Classes
are filled on a first come, first served basis. RAC cannot reserve
classes. All classes must be paid for at time of registration. Classes
cancelled due to insufficient enrollment will be fully refunded.
Alternatives may be available. Please notify us if you have special
needs. Gift certificates are available for classes and memberships.
